Perfect 10 Tournament Poker Chips Review

JustPokerSupplies.com Says: What goes together better than poker and a cool drink? Poker and a beautiful Perfect 10 women to look at. When you really want to have a men's' night of poker these Perfect 10 poker supplies are the hit. You may find a new way to detect a poker face when your buddy is shocked by the Perfect 10 sitting in his hand.
ChipTalk Says: Advertised as 11.5g each, the chips actually weighed in around 11.9g. They are 40mm in diameter and 3.5mm thick. They are slightly thicker than most chips. A stack of 20 will not fit in a Paulson or Chipco rack but they fit (very tightly) in a standard acrylic rack. They fit fine (50 to a row) in the included case.
The focus on this chip set is of course the girls. It seems like there is a different topless girl on every chip (actually there are 150 total). The girls are gorgeous. The chips are standard injection molded ABS plastic with steel cores. The chips have a slight recess made for the labels. The labels are glossy and fairly scratch resistant. They are slightly too large for the chip recessed area, therefore most of the labels overlap one edge of the recess. This can cause tall chip stacks to be less stable. It is also the reason why they are so tight in a rack. a few of the chips also had bumps under the labels from the injection nipples beneath. The colors (5) are a good mix for most games. They are not denominated so you'll choose the values. The 500 piece set comes with 150 white, 150 red, 100 blue, 50 turquoise and 50 black.
The case included with the samples was a black case. It also comes in standard aluminum. The black one is better than the average aluminum case. The faces are scratch resistant rubber. This will hold up better than aluminum faces. The internals are wood covered with velvet, not bad at all. The center framing that holds cards and dice had come loose in shipping, but it fits tightly enough to not be a problem.
The cards aren't bad at all. Normally you'd receive cheap paper cards with a chip set like this, but the Perfect 10 cards are 100% plastic. These aren't quite the quality of KEM or Copag but they aren't bad. The feel is slightly stiff but easy to get used to. The edges are a tad rough cut but the consistency is good. They stand up to a "bend test" well. I bent one around to touch it's other end, both ways, and it returns to perfectly flat. They can take finger nail marks pretty easily though. The interesting thing with these cards is that they each have a unique Perfect 10 model on the faces. One desk is "rated PG13" and the other deck has all topless girls. One annoyance is that the backs of both decks are very similar, making it difficult to rotate both decks on the same table.
Conclusion: For off the shelf chips, the Perfect 10 Chips are most certainly not standard faire. Consider whether the group would be comfortable playing poker with nude girls on chips and cards. As for the quality of chips, they are just fine for plastic chips.
