WTB El Tropical Chipcos

I'm entertaining having a beach theme chip set. I'd want to gather up several hundred if I decide to go all the way with this idea. But for now, I'm interested in even a sample set of these. I'm less interested in the Bud Jones chips from the El Tropical due to the lack of graphics, but I wouldn't mind getting those in a sample set as well. I'd love opinions on this set too if anyone cares to share.

Also, if anyone has an alternative idea that would be equally "beachy", I'd love to hear that as well.

Bad Timing...An auction ended for 300 about 6 hours ago that only sold for $36. If it is these you were looking for. I guess this didn't help, sorry but I have seen them going cheap on ebay.

DARN...I looked on EBAY before posting here too. Bad description...no El in there I don't think. I'm gonna go cry now. That would have been so cool to start me out. How am I supposed to pay someone anything near what they are worth when an auction ends for $36.

Sweet lord, I think I'll cry along with you. I have two of these (a $1 and a $5) that I got from Jamby awhile back, and had hopes of completing a sample set one of these days, but to have missed that big set for $36 total...I think I'm ill.

I normally post auction links in the forum. But there is some discussion in there about posting auctions if they are not your own. I didn't want to cause an uproar and bidding war in case someone was going to bid on it so I apologize for not posting. I think this is why it should be posted.

I would suggest PMing a member if they have posted that they are looking for them. Posting it in a thread is only going to make it harder for that person who is specifically looking that set.

If you had posted earlier I surely would have PM'd you. There was another auction for those that ended earlier in the day and they went for about .50 per. Still a good price. Timing is everything I guess.

I hope you didn't take what I said as meaning I didn't think you would have. I was just responding to earlier comments wondering whether or not something should be said at all if threads. I would also notify someone in some way if there is time.
