Chips: 52 | | | curseofthorn22 robbed me... Note to mods: I didn't have enough chips to post this in m2m sales section, please move to appropriate area of forum.
So...it's been 6 weeks now since I sent Michael a PayPal for a very large sum of money for approx. 500 PNY's. He disappeared as soon as I started asking to be refunded my purchase price. I filed a claim with PayPal, which is still unanswered...he won't answer emails to his aol account or private messages here on chiptalk. I'm so befuddled by this, he seemed to be a reputable seller. Now here I am, wondering if I will ever be reimbursed. The last email I received from him is below...can anyone here help me find him (phone number, address, etc.) and have others had bad experiences with this seller?

In all honesty, I've never purchased anything from Curse so I can't say. I was very interested in buying some PNYs from him and we exchanged emails once or twice. When I was ready to pull the trigger and buy, I couldn't get a hold of him. I ended up never buying anything.
I'm sure he's just a busy guy but...if you've got chips for sale in M2M, I feel you should at least check your emails and get back to people in a somewhat expediant fashion as a courtesy. However, I am not him and he may have other important things going on that none of us know about.
In your case, I think it's an entirely different situation because you did actually pay for something. |

Chips: 3,406 | | | Re: curseofthorn22 robbed me... It's a long process to get your money back through Paypal, which if you follow their process, you will 999/1000 times. If you filed a dispute, and he leaves it unanswered, they will take action.
Sadly, I've been waiting for this thread to surface.
Being that you are new to CT, there were a handful of people who sent him money for chips. Mardi Gras Queens Chipco's, PNY's etc. All of which got the same run around about them being flagged in the postal system, waiting for inspection from the postal inspector, etc. etc. etc.
Bottom line is (in the 6 or so people I reference above) CoT took the money, reported that he shipped the items, provided a bogus USPS tracking number, when in fact he didn't ship anything. He flat out lied to members, essentially stole their money, and made it one hassle after another to get their money back. He ranks in my book down there with the dirt bags.
Lastly- This is all very surprising to me as he and I have had other transactions and purchases which were flawless. So in this last one, where he collected several thousand dollars collectively from a handful of different people (6 that I know of) and then pulls this stunt. Not cool. He is simply a thief as far as I'm concerned.
I wish I could help you with a phone number, however the one time that I talked to him, his number came across as "private" and I didn't get it from him. I'd suggest the white pages or local directories in his area.
Sorry to hear about the troubles with the transaction. Follow the process with Paypal to go through the dispute resolution, call them if needed, and you should get your money back. |

Here is the tracking number, straight from the horses mouth! Label/Receipt Number: 9105 7850 9140 1032 5463 2391 0578 5091 4010 3254 6323
Let me guess- Still stuck at the postal depot? |

If I were an admin / owner of the forum (CT), I'd have a hard time, in good faith letting him conduct business on the forum, based on this last fiasco of transactions. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
