What I am looking for is my first custom or semi-custom set. I would need at least 1000 to replace the cheapies I'm using now. I have considered quite a few options - from homepokerchips.net to the American Beauties back when they were first being developed. I'm (finally) in a position to pull the trigger, but have not been actively pursuing or keeping up-to-date on the "state" of chips - what's hot? Whats not? Anything new to avoid? Who's selling sets of this size currently out there? Any help or inof on your sets appreciated!

Personally for the money I like ASM's... you can pick your own chip colors... edge spot colors and from various molds... if you want to go cheap and not have custom labels you can.. if you want to hotstamp some of the molds give you that option... here are a few links to look at but the beauty here is that you have lots of options through multiple vendors and it really just matters what you like...

Thanks. I have considered them and I think they would be the default or fall-back - I know what/where they are, how much, etc. Before I did that, though, I did want to solicit some input and/or see if there were used sets out there...

sets pop up all the time.. so you could hang and see what came about... with that you def have lots of choices... everything from ceramics to compressed clays... paulsons pop up on here all the time in various formats to asm's, chipco's, etc... good luck!

My 1st set was ceramics from NJ and I still play with it. I would reccommend getting as many sample sets as you can, that way you can find a set YOU really like...
