$5 casino paulsons (PNY?)

I'd like to buy a $5 PNY sample.

I'm working on a casino cash set and need suggestions. I'm looking for 200 $5 Paulson casino chips (any mold) at under $2 each, good condition or better. So far I'm thinking about Vineyards and PNYs.

What else is out there?

Suggestions anyone? -Hint- -hint- this is a good time to convince me to buy your nickels!

Jim at thechiproom.com (forum here) still seems to have plenty of St Jo's $5 secondary. They're new but have a cancellation hotstamp which is incredibly easy to remove with no sign. You can probably email him to see if he'll still sell them for 50c each or pick up one of his ebay auctions for about that. They're a bargain if you like giant inlays.

Here's a link if you want to see pictures.

Re: $5 casino paulsons (PNY?)

Ambassadors from Nevada Jacks are excellent chips from a real casino. Good examples of the best classic Paulsons you can buy. I think they have used ones on the web site at a good price.

Also, quite a few sets of $5s on eBay. Keep looking. PNYs are superb, but personally I'd take New Sonny's or Bluz at the Bend or many others over Vineyards. Some President Biloxi chips just sold for $103 for 100.

Re: $5 casino paulsons (PNY?)

I just got some the the St. Jo's from Jim at the Chip Room a few weeks ago for 50 cents each. They are sweet and the cancellation stamp came right off using the methods described in the chip care section here. He also has a bunch of auctions running on ebay for the those as well. I recommend those as the giant inlay is cool.

Guys, thanks for all the replies, and those St. Joes look like a real bargain, just not the style I'm looking for I guess..

Wick, Bellefontaine I see, I was born and raised in Sidney!
