? about Bud Jones V7

I'm seriously considering putting together a set of these for tourney games. 200-25's, 200-100's and 100-500's.

So...what's available for these? I know the Wyndhams, which I would love, but NJ's only has one set left and it has that wacked out breakdown. Other then the Wyndhams, what else is out there? As of right now, I'm just curious, but I'm getting dangerously close to ready to pull the trigger if I can find them.

I haven't seen many playable sets of these before. Mainly the Wyndhams & Maximillions.

Have you seen these?

Re: ? about Bud Jones V7

You could always try and ask around here on ChipTalk for Dogde Citys, there where some up for sale recently. There's also some Mirage Springs in the M2M.

I've just bought some Wyndhams from STANK1000, and I can only say they are absolutely amazing! I love them! I bought what he was willing to sell from one of the Nevada Jacks sets, he had bought. So I got

110 $5s
160 $25s
70 $100s
10 $500

which makes a nice small set!

Actually, I didn't notice that M2M thread. He's really close to my breakdown on his last set. The one thing I've noticed though is that if I can't get exactly what I normally use, I probably wont use them at all. (that's whats happening with my St Joes )

At this point set #4 is spoken for but payment has not yet been received. I am pretty sure that the guy that has spoken for them will go thru with it.

I have had both Mirage Springs and Dodge Cities and neither one have any $500's available. You probably could get around this with some extra $100's but facts are facts. In my opinion, both of them make a better cash game set than tourney set.

The Mirage Springs chips are not V7. I don't know exactly what thy call them. I have asked and I have not gotten an answer but they are definately a little different. The mirage Springs chips have a little edge break on them where the Dodge cities the edges are much more square.

They are both really nice chips, but I would tend to say that the Mirage Springs are a little nicer. The biggest reason is that most all of the inlays on the Dodge Cities are slightly yellowed and the chips appear to have seen more play. The Mirage Springs chips are in almost pristine condition.
