The chips you guys are talking about appear to be a "generic style" roulette chip, maybe used in France. The jetons I refer to look more like these (although this set is actually Swiss ),
and are called "French-Style" by some collectors.

If anyone has some similar for sale or trade I am always interested. I have plenty to trade, and just added some new ones, or I'll trade cash too...

I have a few jetons in that style but as to whether or not they are roulette ones..much of my collection is from movies TV and theatre via my Dad's (and in a few recent cases my own ) production buying/PR.
Some of them have been used in everything from the saint TV show in the 60s to Poirot a few years ago..of course that doesn't mean they were originally roulette jetons.
The only ones that I know were definitely supposed to be a roulette set where from the 80s cop show Dempsey and Makepeace.These are the only ones which all have the name of a casino I'm familiar with- Casino Ecretat.
Having said that some of the chips and plaques were used in another episode- in a supposedly different London casino- at a blackjack table.
