1000 ct Chip Carrier. Discuss 1000 ct Chip Carrier, on ChipTalk.net the place to go for your Poker chips and gambling tips. Read it in Want To Buy-Want To Trade.
Check around on ebay. I saw some for $16 w/ shipping for $25 but it included 10 trays with the carrier. Pretty good deal. type in: acrylic chip carrier in your search.
I was going to buy chip trays from 5star because they seemed to have a very competitive price, but their shipping prices blew them out of the water. Almost tripled the price when shipping was tacked on. I'd rather they reflected the cost in the item instead of inflating shipping costs. I know I know, everyone's got to make a buck...e-aby just seems like such a better deal...I mean wer'e talking plastic chip trays not custom chips.

You may want to reconsider buying a 1,000 chip case. I have one and they are very heavy when fully loaded. The handles are flimsy and there have been ChipTalk members report their handles have broken off.
I suspect that the high shipping is also there to discourage small orders (not that UPS is exactly cheap with their initial rate either). You'll probably also note (and probably won't gripe) that 5Star also has a maximum shipping charge of 19.95, which would seem to reinforce the speculation of encouraging larger orders (i.e. a bit of planning to consolidate your order pays off.)
