Ok, so I don't (yet) have the great set of chips, the table, etc., but I do still like a good game. But the game that's easiest for me to play in now is a bunch of new players. So having a low buy-in and a limited re-buy/add-on option tends to make it a lot more fun for everyone -- and keeps the players coming back. It also lets the pay outs get bigger because the apparently math-challenged grad students I play with don't want to throw in $20 a week, but have no problem tossing in $10 after their original $10 investment didn't pay off so well.
I'd think that as they get better and less people are busting out on stupid calls, they'll be less need for the re-buys and eventually the game will be a $20 freeze-out. But either way, I'll still play.
