Okay so I am going to have a 25 man tournament in two weeks. Does anybody have any suggestions/advice for me to consider while I am still in the planning stages?
Last Level Antes and blinds double every 15 until its heads up. (Then we split the pot based on stack sizes)
Any idea on how long this might take?? I am guessing at least 3.5-4, maybe longer, but this is without major breaks-- I will be coloring up guys on an as needed basis.
(when big stacks have large amounts of low denom chips, I will color each player up individually-- I have an assistant helping with this!)
Let me know what you think.

Well I run 20 man tourneys all the time and with levels going up every 15 mins it gets done in 3-3.5. That includes a 15 min break every 4th level. Other things I do is have specials like HIGH HAND NIGHT where the high hand for the night gets like 25 bucks. Tonights high hand BTW was only aces full of 5s! Couldn't believe that held up, we usually get at least one quads or a higher full house. Anyway. Of course there is always the ever popular bounty. I also recommend running two decks to keep things moving along. I used to do that until I decided that whoever was assigned seat 1 at each table would be the dealer for the night. Using some theory to practice I found that it was slightly quicker with one guy dealing instead of moving cards around and waiting on people to fumble f**k the cards. Well have fun. Oh one more thing, if you don't rake, punch the first person that complains about the beer you provide then take their money.
There are a few links to blind levels and time between for the length of time that you want tournament to last. I don't have link at the moment but I will post link when I find it if no one else post them by then.
Also, once all of the big stacks have been colored up (getting the majority of the low denoms off the table), have a chip race to eliminate the low denom altogether.
I agree with most of the thoughts here. You've got to have the 25/25 in there I think. With a T2000, if you start at 25/50, a standard raise in level 1 is something like 7% of your stack. Just personal preference I guess, but I like to be able to play around a bit in the early levels without having to commit so many of my chips preflop.
I would also skip the 250-500 level as others have said and maybe not start antes until 500-1000. That way, you could color up greens after your 150-300 level. That would also start the antes at the start of hour 4 where it sounds like you want to start accelerating things toward a finish anyway.
Other than that, looks good. Looks like a very fair structure.
