Ohh ... I just noticed there's a 750/1500 level in there. You gotta get rid of that, no one wants greens this deep into the tournament.

Make it 800/1600 and consider changing the 500/1000 to 600/1200.`1

Captn,

The last two weeks we have played with a bounty on each player. $5 of the buy-in goes to the bounty and doesn't get figured into the payouts.

The way it works... if someone goes all-in, their bounty chip goes in the pot with their stacks. If they get called by someone with less chips, they get their chip back and the caller's bounty chip goes in. If you bust'em, you get their chip when you rake the pot. You get to keep all the chips you collect during the event and if you go all-in, only your bounty chip goes in the pot. If you are the tourney winner you get $5 extra for each bounty chip you collected and also get your $5 back. Everyone else turns in the chips they collected for $5 each. It added a little something extra to the event and added to the trash talking.

Couldn't believe that held up, we usually get at least one quads or a higher full house. Anyway. Of course there is always the ever popular bounty. I also recommend running two decks to keep things moving along. I used to do that until I decided that whoever was assigned seat 1 at each table would be the dealer for the night. Using some theory to practice I found that it was slightly quicker with one guy dealing instead of moving cards around and waiting on people to fumble f**k the cards. Well have fun. Oh one more thing, if you don't rake, punch the first person that complains about the beer you provide then take their money.

Yea tried a chip race...and it totally screwed everybody up. You know I offered the rules on paper, explained them several times, and still people were like ...."HUH???? I don't get it!!!!"

This is good idea I would like to read more about this...where did you hear about it??? Can you send more specifics? Also after I have thought it over some more I might have some more questions...could I pm them to you??

I think that now is the time to add the reason for the 250/500----750/1500 levels.

If you have seen the set that I use you would know that I have a $250 chip. I know this is almost totally asanine!!!! But when I first started all this work and developed the set that I have now I was basically a newb and had never even read chip talk let alone another website article about poker chips. SO.....this means that chip distribution looks like this

(Oh and I know that the colors are f'd up sorry, newb mistake again, and I really don't want to take the labels off!)

8 x 25 (purple)
6 x 50 (green)
5 x 100 (black)
2 x 250 (silver)
1 x 500 (gold)

Thanks again for the input guys it is greatly appreciated!!!
