Friday Night Super Deep Stack

I run a 20K deep Stack Tournament every Friday night and it's usually one full table with eight players on it. I like to have as many chips as possible out on the table as I can so here's what our starting stacks look like:

24xT24=T600
34xT100=3400
20xT500=10000
6xT1000=6000

Two re-buys and one T5000 add-on are allowed until the first break. This essentially puts 200,000 in chips on the table to begin with and we usually end up with 250,000 by the end of the game. I love this breakdown because it keeps people from throwing big chips in the pot and making change for themselves and it keeps everybody's math focused on their game instead of what they need back from the pot. And who doesn't like starting a game with almost a full rack of chips in front of them?

Blinds structure as follows:
25 minutes:
50/100
100/200
150/300
Chip up/Add-on
20 minutes:
200/400
300/600
400/800
500/1000
600/1200
800/1600
Chip up
1000/2000
1500/2000
15 minutes:
2000/4000
3000/6000
etc.

Usually we're heads up by 1500/3000 but I chose to keep the first two blind levels after the second chip up at twenty minutes because it's no fun when you work to accumulate all those chips but then don't get a lot of play out of them. Usually by 2000/4000 we're at least down to three players so the orbits go faster and people can see more hands during a shorter blind level. So far this has worked out really well for our group and it keeps people in for long enough that they don't feel like they didn't get their money's worth out of the game.

Re: Friday Night Super Deep Stack

It's a cool structure, it seems like you could cut the 25's out and just start blinds at 100/100. But it's usually fun to have a lot of chips in front of you.

The 5k add on seems a little small but that's think that's cuz I'm more used to see 50% starting stack add ons. How many players usually elect to add on and what is the price (%)relative to initial buy in?

Re: Friday Night Super Deep Stack

The 25s get used again @ 150/300. I'd have a 75/150 round too, to avoid blinds doubling and to get more use out of the 25s.
