Well last night was a great time! Unfortunately I was the FIRST one out...3rd level with AJc...oh that's right I already told this story....blah, blah, blah, probably the crappiest part was that I lost to one of the guys who complains that its all luck and no skill. So as you can probably guess the first words out of his mouth were "See, I told you. Its all luck." So my response was...."Oh, so your admitting that I am better player than you, but you won because you got lucky and I didn't?"

He didn't say anything after that.
After that, all was good. Hot Dogs were good, but the rolls weren't...I put some on the grill so they would be warm/toasted, but then I got caught up in a cash game hand and they got a little....um.....hard.
But the drunkards still ate them!!
One of the guys called a couple of his buddies who were really smashed and the one guy was a little obnoxious but he brought his girlfriend, so I let him stick around. He was super fishy with the cards, but got on a real hot streak and broke two guys on the same hand! He ended up cashing out after a little more than an hour with double his buy in....man I really did everything I could to get in a hand with him, with good position, but I just didn't get the right hand to match up where he was splashing around....oh well maybe next time. Overall I played well in the cash game and I made back my buy in for the whole night plus $7.50 ($27.50 total). Plus the two young guys who took first and second in the HU tourney game me their cash chips as a thank you for inviting them ($6.25 in all)....which I thought was pretty classy, and definitely was unexpected. I put that money into the beer kitty for the next keg!
Well now for the good stuff....I changed the structure just a little bit by lengthening the first and second round. Here was the structure I used:
Time/SB/BB
15/100/200
12/200/400
10/300/600
10/400/800
10/500/1000
10/700/1400
10/1000/2000
Then for the championship match all the rounds were 15 min. None of the matches went longer than the 5th level. In fact in the semi-final round the first match was over in during the second blind level. I think if I run this again I might try to get guys to commit to a longer tournament....like make the blinds run for 20 min each, the only problem then is that to fit in the whole tournament it might take 8-9 hours....I would definitely need to start by late afternoon and hope it gets done before dawn!! HAHA!
Well I guess I have rambled long enough.....here are some pictures, enjoy!
Pre-Tourney Cash Game...
Tables ready for the HU matches...
Players taking their seats...
This was the match to determine 3rd place...the guy on the right lost.
Cash Game table...
This is the other table...this is the first time a female has played in the Garage....she was pretty good, but only played like 15 hands before she left.
Chip pr0n action shot....a small pot...
The two cash game tables merged for a little while when guys got back into the tournament...oh that is my jar of beer there in case you were wondering!
A good time was had by all I think! Believe me the guy on the left is dumber than he looks!! AHAHAHHAHAAH!!!!!
