Help with a 6 Player Tourney

We have been playing cash games and have decided to add a tourney to the mix. This is the blind structure we have come up with. T -5000

25 - 50
50 -100
75 - 150
100 - 200
150 - 300
200 - 400
250 - 500
300 - 600
350 - 700
500 - 1000

Should end at the 350 -700 level.

Please let me know your thoughts or any suggestions for 6 players. Thanks

Re: Help with a 6 Player Tourney

Looks very slow and flat to me. Not too much pressure with the blinds. How long are your levels???

The one thing I see is a T5000 with 6 players should end around 1000/2000. I have a T5000 tourney I run in the home game that usually is done around 600/1200, or may just tiptoe into 1000/2000. That said, here's the structure we use.

SB/BB
25/25 (sometimes... depends on start time and when we think we might finish)
25/50
50/100
100/200
150/300
200/400
300/600 (levels go to 15 minutes)
400/800
500/1000
600/1200 (thinking of changing this to 700/1400)
1000/2000 (by this time, we're well into heads up)

20 minute levels until the switch at 300/600. We do this as we're usually down to three or four by this time. We could run these at 20 minutes, but we usually want to wrap up to start the after tournament cash game (and we can get nearly two orbits in per level if we stay on the ball).

Just some food for thought.

P.S. There is a thread where people have posted the structures they use that work. I'm certain that is where I snagged this one, thought did tweak the level times.

Re: Help with a 6 Player Tourney

Thanks, not a lot of 6 player info. I agree this is too flat. I like your structure. We are running 4 rounds at 20 min then 15 min.
