Re: 20 min or 15 min blind levels.

I think the length of the rounds should also consider the blind progression. If the blinds progress in small increments, you can have shorter rounds because the cost from one hand to the next doesn't vary much. However, if you have larger increment changes, then the levels should last longer.

I've adopted a single blind structure for every game we play that has small progressions between levels. I then adjust the starting stack sizes and length of blinds to control the style of game we play (from Turbo to deepstack)

Re: 20 min or 15 min blind levels.

I've tinkered with mine over the last year a little bit. Last year I did a T3000, 20 min blinds. It typically took about 3:15 to 3:30 with a full table. We did points and I didn't want anything less than 3hrs. One game I did 25 min blinds and it lasted 5 hrs. Way too long as we like to play cash afterwards.

This year, no points/leaderboard, T2500, 20 min blinds. Lasts 2:30-3hrs. I have 2 fewer blinds than you do. I don't use 25/25 or 150/300. I do have a 500/1000 due to some compliants when I skipped that level, but I don't think that really matters that much.
