Hello all,

we are having out TOC next week...starting chips will be
T10,000 + (points earned for the year * 100).
so our point leader will have T26,000 starting chips and our last qualifier will have T12,500.

looking for a structure that will last about 5-51/2 hours...but I don'twant it to be a "shove fest" towards the end...

my first thoughts are for this structure...25 minute rounds

25-50
50-100
100-200
200-400
300-600
500-1000
500-1000+100
1000-20000+200
1500-3000+300
2000-4000+500
4000-6000+1000
12000-24000+1000

but I'm worried about the back end...should I start at T25 or T100?
you thoughts and suggestions are appreciated!

Your later levels are huge. I would do this

50-100
100-200
100-200-25
200-400-50
300-600-75 remove 25 chips
400-800-100
600-1200-200
800-1600-200
1000-2000-300
1500-3000-400 remove 100 chips
2000-4000-500
3000-6000-500 remove 500 chips
4000-8000-1000
6000-12000-2000

I cannot see it going past this. 20 or 25 minute rounds.

I like this...but...

do you think the antes that early,

drive more "play" or more "shove" that early??? I have struggled with this question forever!

I do like the suggestion though!

The antes are not so big that they force the play way too early. What they do accomplish is they prevent shorter stacks from waiting so long for a hand. When someone is down to say, 10,000, at the 600-1200-200 level, that 1500-2000 chips per rotation just for the antes is going to force them to pick a hand to go with. I think structures like this usually allow for a lot of play early and then in the middle the action picks up.

You may want to add a 25-50 level to start off.

OK so I used your suggested stucture...went well!!!

a little long, but I added the 25-50. went 7 hours with breaks and color ups!

there was a lot of "PLAY" at just about every round, which was what I was hoping for.

so thanks a bunch for the suggested info!
