Chips: 1,857 | | | Need advice on 10 player re-buy tournament. So, hosting a tourney next weekend and I need some assistance. There's gonna be 10 players, $100 buy-in with re-buys. I'm assuming the re-buy period should end after the 3rd or 4th round. I'd like the entire thing to last about 4-5 hours. What's the best way to structure this? Blinds? Starting stacks? Would also like to color up at some point.
Any advice? All comments are greatly appreciated!!!!!
Here's a breakdown of the chips i'll be using:
T25 X 180
T100 X 180
T500 X 100
T1000 X 140
T5000 X 20
(I also have 100 NCVs if needed) |

Then you won't have to worry about hosting and figuring out a tourney structure. Quote:

Chips: 3,049 | | | Re: Need advice on 10 player re-buy tournament. Here is a rebuystructure I like:
12xT25
7xT100
4xT500
23 chips worth T3000
Use the extras to color up and for rebuys. The 1k chips alone should support all the rebuys.
Blinds
20-minute levels, rebuys til the start of round 4
25-50
50-100
100-200
150-300
200-400
300-600
400-800
600-1200
800-1600
1000-2000
1500-3000
2000-4000
3000-6000
I do not see it going past this level. You may even want to 5000 stacks. Good luck. |

Chips: 510 | | | Re: Need advice on 10 player re-buy tournament. I use a similar structure to BigKyle's except my starting stacks are
8 - T25
8 - T100
8 - T500
5 - T1000
I rarely host a "re-buy" tournament but when I do, I only allow re-buys during the first hour (3 rounds). |

T25 X 180
T100 X 180
T500 X 100
T1000 X 140
T5000 X 20
(I also have 100 NCVs if needed) | If you want to put a few more chips on the table (than what has been suggested above), I'd go with a T10,000:
16 x T25
16 x T100
6 x T500
5 x T1000
Colour-up the T25 directly to T500 for the most part (i.e. get players to sell their T25s to the big stack, who sells them to the bank in stacks of 20); T100s up to T1000s; etc.
Of if you want it to be simpler for colouring up, then:
12 x T25
12 x T100
7 x T500
5 x T1000
The structure I use for T10,000s can be found here (1st page): http://individual.utoronto.ca/jdunfo...rai_Palace.pdf
If you prefer, you can go with 30 minute levels where the blinds double each time (just remove every other line of my blinds structure, for the most part). As it is, it rarely lasts much more than 4 hours with my group.
Rebuys can be counted out in advance - 10 x T1000 is fine (get them to buy change off the big stack); 2 x T5000 if it's really hairy and you start to get low on T1000s). |

300-600
400-800
500-1000
700-1400
800-1600

1500-3000
2000-4000
3000-6000
4000-8000
5000-10000

Chips: 78 | | | Re: Need advice on 10 player re-buy tournament. only issue i see is where the BB goes from 1000 to 1400 then to 1600. its a jump of 400 then round after that is only a jump of 200.
pretty close to one i use: | T10000 | | 20 min levels | | 100/100 | | 100/200 | | 200/400 | | 300/600 | | BREAK | | 400/800 | | 600/1200 | | 800/1600 | | BREAK | | 1000/2000 | | 1500/3000 | | 2000/4000 | | 3000/6000 | | 4000/8000 | | 6000/12000 |
starting stacks:
10xT100
10xT500
4xT1000 |
