Chips: 177 | | | Help w/T50K w/rebuys/add-ons schedule I generally hate the thought of posting this and possibly being a burden to others, but I'm having some trouble planning it out on my own so I'm asking for help.
I'd like to run my "big game" on 12/6 as a T50,000 starting stack, with rebuys and add-ons. If history is any guide, I'm guessing my starting field of 27 (confirmed, max will be 30) will generate no more than about 8 rebuys and about 14 add ons. Let's just say, for the sake of this question, that I'll have 2M in play at the end of the rebuy/add on period. Maybe less, maybe more, but let's call it call it 2M.
Smallest starting chip will be the 100 (black), and I think I'd like my first level to be 300/600, then 400/800, then 700/1400 to break, sell the addons and the last of the rebuys, then color up the 100s and go for the rest of the tourney.
I'm not real concerned about it going past about 6 hours total, counting breaks, but 8 is getting in the neighborhood of too long. Any suggestions for a blind schedule?
I'll have 100/500/1000/5000/10,000/50,000 in play, if needed.
Winner (as determined in my sole, unappealable discretion, among the places I have this posted) of the best suggestion gets a couple of set ups of used cards (Modiano and Kem circlebakcs) and maybe a sample set of chips or two (I'll see what I have). Any takers??
Thanks in advance.

Chips: 177 | | | Re: Help w/T50K w/rebuys/add-ons schedule Up to 300 of 100 and 500, 375 x 1000, 250 x 5000, 300 x 10,000, and 75 x 50,000. I've bought chips for the bank when needed, so chip supply shouldn't be an issue. |

I would go like this: 25 or 30 minute levels
Breakdown is
10x T100
8x T500
10x T1000
7x T5000
35 chips worth T50,000. Use the T10,000 for rebuys and addons. I doubt you will even have to have the T50,000 chip.
300-600
400-800
600-1200
800-1600 (remove 100 chips)
1000-2000
1500-3000 (remove 500 chips)
2000-4000
3000-6000
4000-8000
6000-12,000
8000-16,000 (remove 1000 chips)
10,000-20,000
15,000-30,000
20,000-40,000
30,000-60,000
40,000-80,000
60,000-120,000
By the time you get to the 30k-60k levels, there should be very little room to maneuver, especially if it is three-handed or four-handed. Even heads-up, with a million or so apiece you are going to be committed after any raise. It is up to you if you want to play with 5000 and 10,000 chips, or just 10,000 chips at the end. |

Chips: 18,645 | | | Re: Help w/T50K w/rebuys/add-ons schedule One rule of thumb says you should get finished when the BB + SB equals about 10% of the chips in play. If you have 2MM in play, then you should finish somewhere around 60/120K blinds (give or take of course).
1. How long are your blind levels? Maybe 20-25 minutes?
2. I think 300/600 is too big of blinds to start. That's only 83 x BB, which is pretty steep for a long/deep tourney. And you're going up pretty quick. Maybe with rebuys that encourage lots of action, and I don't know how your crowd plays.
3. Personally, I would start with 100/200 or 200/400 for a serious game. I like to allow more play at the beginnig but then crank up the blinds as players bust out.
Here's a proposal. I'd guess it ends maybe level 17?

Chips: 339 | | | Re: Help w/T50K w/rebuys/add-ons schedule I agree wth most of this except I have tried adopting a bit of a different approach that I heard Lederer and the boys talking about on PAD, which is to crank the blinds up early to bust out the crowd, then slow them down to let the final table play for a bit. Might be suited more for bigger tourneys, but I liked the sound of giving the remaining players a bit more play. I would say add in a few levels between 9. and 15. ie. 6,000/12,000, maybe 8,000/16,000. Quote:
