Chips: 70 | | | Bounty - What % of buy-in? We're implementing a Bounty for the first time tonight...how much of the buy-in is typically reserved for the bounty? Any magic number?

It was a head hunting fest ...
You could come in second and make more than first if you took everyone else but first out.....
take two people out and you are a wash in terms of your buy in.....
Shoulda just played a plain old $15 tourney.
I love bounties. Just jigger the percentage so that it's like what hachkc said. |

Was the OP'r referring to bounties for each player like I and several others discussed or 1 large bounty against just a specific person? If its the latter, then I agree with you. |

Typically I think there should only be 1 bounty at a home poker tournament. You just dont have the masses of people to warrant anymore than that. The bounty is supposed to be more of a bonus that the reason to enter a tourney. its also silly in my opinion to have a bounty be more than any of the cashing positions.
The bounty should be the person who won the tournament last time. And if he's not there, it should be the person before that. Or no one.
Although. To spice up a game. If there is someone you like to pick on, or just don't like. You could post a bounty to come out of your own pocket. If you get a few guys to do that you could have a pretty wild game. |

I do like the idea of a "previous winner" bounty, but would also consider "previous in the money" bounties for those that cashed.
So for a $20 buy-in, there would be a $20 bounty on the prior winners head? Does the $20 come out of the collected buy-ins, or from the prior winner? | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
