T20,000 Perfect for 6-8 Players

Used the following structure last night for eight players, and everyone LOVED it!!!

Expect your tourney to last around 4 hours for eight players, but expect it last less time for fewer players (less chips in play).

T20,000 Starting Stack (No Rebuys)

LEVELS: 20 Minutes Each
Level 1: 50/100

Level 2: 100/200
Level 3: 150/300

Race off T25s

Level 4: 200/400
Level 5: 300/600
Level 6: 400/800

Break

Level 7: 500/1000
Level 8: 600/1200
Level 9: 800/1600

Race off T100s

Level 10: 1000/2000
Level 11: 1500/3000
Level 12: 2000/4000

Race off T500s

Level 13: 3000/4000
Level 14: 4000/8000
Level 15: 5000/10000

We finished last night at the start of Level 12 (around four hours, including time taken for color ups and breaks).
Oh, and some pron for you of the chips we used:

Jeez, with those TRK's it would take me a few more hours to play that tournament structure due to GAWKING.

that's some fine edgespot stackage.

Funny you should say that. My players, who are usually oblivious to the chips we use, kept remarking on how nice the chips were.

8-13-7-5-2 is one damn sexy starting stack.

Wow, that is nice!! I've always been a big fan of having a lot of chips in play at once. Only problem I have is that with my ultra-conservative group, this would be a 12 hour tourney!!!

Thanks and agreed!! Honestly, I've hosted many one table tourneys in the past, mostly T5000s and under, and this was FAR AND AWAY the best because of the large stacks and blind structure. My players very much appreciated the new format.

Re: T20,000 Perfect for 6-8 Players

Thanks for the post. I play with 6 guys usually and we always play cash. This may be a fun change of pace for a small tourny.
