Chips: 1,037 | | | Re: Whats a good blind structure for a 5K tourney with... I use this structure when I play T5000 tourneys: | 25 | 50 | | 50 | 100 | | 75 | 150 | | 100 | 200 | | 150 | 300 | | 200 | 400 | | 300 | 600 | | 400 | 800 | | 600 | 1200 | | 800 | 1600 | | 1000 | 2000 | | 1500 | 3000 | | 2000 | 4000 |
Should end around the 800/1600 or 1000/2000 Level (using the 4% rule) and using 20 minute blinds should last about 4 hours (with breaks).

This allows a color up of the 25s after only 3 rounds, generally the time of the first break. |

Ends around 1000/2000 level. |

3000 6000 | I'm not saying that there's anything wrong with this structure, but it's quite aggressive having the blinds double so often so early. Just my 2 cents. Again, I'm not saying it's wrong...just different.

Again, I'm not saying it's wrong...just different. | I agree with you that it is aggressive, it only start when it hit 1000/2000. By then the tournament is in over 2 hours.
Just a note the blind schedule I took is right from Planet Hollywood. As you may know, the casino don't have you to sit there for more then 4 hours.
If you want to last more then 4 hours just double To T10,000.
This blind schedule will reduce limper. |
