Re: Whats a good blind structure for a 5K tourney with...

I use this structure when I play T5000 tourneys:

25 50
50 100
75 150
100 200
150 300
200 400
300 600
400 800
600 1200
800 1600
1000 2000
1500 3000
2000 4000

Should end around the 800/1600 or 1000/2000 Level (using the 4% rule) and using 20 minute blinds should last about 4 hours (with breaks).

I use the same structure but I take out the 150/300 and add a 500/1000. This allows a color up of the 25s after only 3 rounds, generally the time of the first break.

I use the same as links, plus big mikes 500/1000, plus a 25/25 round to start.
Ends around 1000/2000 level.

I'm not saying that there's anything wrong with this structure, but it's quite aggressive having the blinds double so often so early. Just my 2 cents. Again, I'm not saying it's wrong...just different.

I agree with you that it is aggressive, it only start when it hit 1000/2000. By then the tournament is in over 2 hours.

Just a note the blind schedule I took is right from Planet Hollywood. As you may know, the casino don't have you to sit there for more then 4 hours.

If you want to last more then 4 hours just double To T10,000.

This blind schedule will reduce limper.

We use this structure, 20 minute blinds. Similar, a little less aggressive than the last one posted.
