Ok, So we have a great T10,000 tourney every Sunday.
We start with 10 blacks,8 purple, and 5 orange.
My poker genie is in Custom mode for 20 min blinds....
100/200,200/400,300/600,400/800,500/1000,1500/300,2000/4000,.....

The tourney lasts about 4 to 5 hours.....Great!!


Now, here is my problem. Eveybody wants to run a longer tourney, 7 to 8 hours, once a month. I would like to leave the blinds and levels the same and just add more blinds at the same 20 mins levels.

I can't be there all the time and would like to make it easy for the tournament director when I am not there. I have plenty of chips.


Just increase the starting stacks to 20,000 or 30,000??

Any expert advice would be appreciated,

You can add more Chips but honestly, it is SO MUCH more fun just to increase the blind time to 30 min or more -- it plays so different and most everyone loves it because the pace is so much more relaxed.

I agree that increasing the blinds to 30 minutes would be a great way to extend your tourney a bit.

Also, 500-1000 to 1500-3000 is a HUGE gap between levels. is it typo and you forgot to add 1000-2000?

Yeah, typo......500/1000, 1000/1500, 1500/3000,....haven't set the rest yet.

1000-1500 or 1000-2000? typo? It seems strange to have a 1000-1500 level.
