Chips: 5,081 | | | Can you help me? As some of you might have seen, I'm running a 70-100 person tournament this upcoming weekend (see HERE). We had 75 or so last year, our first year, and it all went very well I feel. THE one thing I think I could have done a better job at was moving players and tracking players. I know the basic rules of movement -- that's not my issue -- just the how to you track each table so you know to move people when there is a need to equal out numbers. Then of course when you need to break a table down, that's another story.
I've been trying to come up with a clever idea how to do this best. There is little to no software I can find (without writing your own stuff and I'm clueless on that sort of thing). I have seat cards for each player such as Table 1, Seat 3 on small laminated stock. I was thinking of making on Tagboard (2' x 3' heavy stock), 12 ovals and places for cards etc. but then I thought, heck someone out there in CT land must have an idea for me? Any help would be appreciated. |

An oval for each table with a number in the middle. When the dealer tells you - "player out table 4" or whatever, you drop the number by one and you can quickly see where to add players as you break up a table.

If not, i can take a crack writing some table tracking software for you... Let me think about the algorithm over dinner and i will see what I can deliver.

OK, maybe not, but seriously I'm up for anything. If the program you mentioned earlier is able to run that system, cool and yes I'd ship it back ASAP. Regardless of what happens, thank you!

Dr. Neau's Tournament Manager is a Java-based application that will run on virtually any OS. One of my poker buddies runs it on his Mac. Check it out at http://drneau.com/TournamentManager.htm and see the review at http://www.homepokertourney.com/revi...ock-drneau.htm. Even if you take Shades up on his generous offer, you might want to check this out for future use.
