Chips: 223 | | Rebuy Cut-Off? Lately a lot of regulars have had changes in priorities and not been able to make our weekly $10 tourneys. When do you allow no more rebuys with only 10 players max (kinda sucks I know, but whatever it's fun and that's why we get together in the first place)? Here's the schedule we use when we play T5000 tourneys:
25/50
50/100
75/150
100/200
150/300
Break/Color-Up
200/400
300/600
400/800
600/1200
800/1600
Break/Color-Up
1000/2000
2000/4000 (we rarely make it this far...)
3000/6000
4000/8000
5000/10000
Any suggestions on when to cut-off rebuys? |

In our home games we usually go 90-120 minutes or the final eight which ever is first. (if you start with more than 8 ) |

Anything beyond that and they're just throwing away their money. You could end it earlier if you want; say, after round 3. I guess it also depends on the length of your rounds. If they're only 15 minutes, then the break would be fine. If they're 30 minutes long, then it might seem silly to have rebuys past level 3 (90 minutes). Somewhere in the middle (say 20 minutes) and you could go either way, but I'd still lean towards the break.
I agree with tator2k that 90-120 minutes is about right. |

Chips: 69 | | | Re: Rebuy Cut-Off? We usually play the same structure with $10.00 buy-in and have unlimited re-buys until the end of round 4 if we do 30 minute rounds. Or round 6 if we're doing 20 minutes, (depends on how many, 6-12 people usually). |

Chips: 3,270 | | | Re: Rebuy Cut-Off? I do a re-buy/add-on in 3 of my 12 league games. You have to bust out before you can re-buy. You can add-on any time. Limit of one each. The cut-off is the first break (1 hour). Many of my players don't really like re-buy/ad-on games since they feel it creates a loose game (which it does to some extent) so this method makes everyone happy. Things tighten up after the break .

I should also note that most of these tournies also allow an add-on at the same time the rebuys are cut-off.
