how many rebuys/addons do you estimate for this game?

assuming no rebuys/addons, there will be 5000x32=160,000 chips in play initially

jmc, in his article about blinds structures, postulates that the tourney will end when the tM is 10. so with 160,000 chips in play that would be when the blinds are 5k/10k/1k.

in my own games, i usually estimate the end will be when tM is 30, so that would be when the blinds are 1500/3000/500

i guess it depends on how tight/loose or how tired your players are at the end.

the rebuys and addons will add to total chips in play, so the ending blinds will go up as more chips are in play.

the blinds progression look good to me; i don't see anything after hour 5 that would make them too steep. if you're worried, you may stick in a 1200/2400/300.
the only other beef i have (it's pretty minor), is the progression from 500/1000 to 800/1600 to 1000/2000. the first jump is 300/600, then the second jump regresses to 200/400. i prefer my blind progressions to increase with subsequent levels so a better progression (imo) would be 500/1000 to 700/1400 to 1000/2000

Now that sounds like a fun game.....you'll need a few more chips I would assume for unlimited rebuys I would think.

Don't really know... it'd be uncharted territory.

I changed lvl17 to 700/1400/100 ... makes more sense.

If 32 ppl play, all take a rebuy right at the start and everyone takes the add-on (no additional rebuys at all) there will be T560,000 in play.

Yeah, I think it really will be a lot of fun. Two hours of rebuy mania and hopefully lots of chips on the tables to compete for after the rebuy ends.

re: chips: 1500 faux clay chips and 4 silver rounds give me enough chips so that 32 players can rebuy 10 times each (5 double buys) and then ALL take the addon.

Stratospheric chips are the solution: There is no T1000 chip, T2000 instead. 25 T10,000 and 10 T50,000. The 4 silver rounds are worth T250,000 each. If it ever, EVER gets that nuts, that's when the silver comes out.

tM is a term that JMC coined in his article. it stands for tournament M. it is the M of all the chips in play assuming 2 players

tM=total chips in play / (sb + bb + 2 X antes)

the lower the tM you assume at the end, the tighter the play
