Color choice...need opinions

Here is the deal, I'm thinking of putting a custom T10,000 tourney set with re buys. Starting blinds at 50/100. Denoms 50/100/500/1000. I have just 4 colors to work with which is fine but limited quantities, just go with it for me. The colors are pink, blue, purple and brown. Based on the quantities either pink or brown needs to be my 50 denom chip, and I'm set on purple being my 500 denom chip. I'm thinking pink for the 50 and brown for the 1000, what do you guys think?

Thanks

Re: Color choice...need opinions

I would have put the blue chip as far as possible from the purple unless they are very easy to tell apart. So, blue, brown, purple and pink is my suggestion.
If they are easy to tell apart I think your suggestion is fine.

What is your blind schedule?
If you're blinds double, the 50 will only be used during 1st round.
I would drop the 50 and add a 5000 with blinds starting at 100/200.
100-Pink, 500-Purple, 1000-Brown, 5000-Blue
Good luck.

I agree here...only I'd start blinds at 100/100

Very true. I will go back and see exactly what my blind schedule will be. I'm going to change it to a starting blind of 25/50 instead. So 25/100/500/1000. Again the brown chip is the one in limited quanty. There is no mistaking the blue chip for the purple.

Thanks

If you have fewer pink and brown than everything else, you may consider using them as your lowest and highest denominations, depending on the structure and schedule.

How many do you have of each chip, and do you have any plans, or the ability, to get more?

Fewer brown only, like 120. That was my question because of this bottleneck. There is enough of the other chips for up 20 people but I was just doing it for 10. I haven't got the chips yet, I just have samples. I'm waiting to see what the inlays are going to look like before making the bigger purchase. What I'm doing is something I haven't seen before.

Since I don't like pink that much, I'm thinking it will be my T25. Then blue for T100, purple for T500 and brown for T1000.

Thanks
