Bellagio Blind Schedule

I am hosting my first game on Saturday I will be using the Bellagio's in their 1st game... Small buy-in ($25) it will be a T1,000,000 tourney. Now HUGE starting stacks 60 chips... I now its alot of chips but its only going to be no more than 10 people. Lowest chip will be T1,000. Blinds will start at T1K & T2K but I am trying to figure out where to go from there. Anyone willing to help a newbie out? Thanks in advance. Oh I figure that 2.5 to 3hrs will be long enough.

Re: Bellagio Blind Schedule

Here's the blind schedule we're planning to use for our $1,000,000 tourney next week. We're starting very small for the first few levels, then going up pretty fast. We expect to be out about level 12-13 or so. Normally I wouldn't have any $1,000 chips in play, but we wanted to make the first few levels very low key.

1 $1,000 $2,000
2 $2,000 $5,000
3 $5,000 $10,000
4 $10,000 $20,000
5 $15,000 $30,000
6 $20,000 $40,000
7 $25,000 $50,000
8 $50,000 $100,000
9 $100,000 $200,000
10 $150,000 $300,000
11 $200,000 $400,000
12 $250,000 $500,000
13 $300,000 $600,000
14 $500,000 $1,000,000
15 $750,000 $1,500,000
16 $1,000,000 $2,000,000
17 $2,000,000 $4,000,000
18 $3,000,000 $6,000,000

Re: Bellagio Blind Schedule

Yeah baby -- BIG STACKS -- Diablo's breakdown is good for sure -- if you wanted to use your $1,000 chips (assuming you might have the most of those?) you might try the following...

Honestly, I MUCH prefer to keep my stacks even to start with (easy to count & manage) -- such as go with 20- 1K, 20 - 5K, 20 - 10K, 10 - 25K & 10 - 50K and don't worry if it is exactly 1,000,000 or not -- who cares? Alls that's important is to know what the total chip count you start with. But in case you want exactly 1,000,000....

20 chips x $1,000 = $20,000
20 chips x $5,000 = $100,000
13 chips x $10,000 =$130,000
10 chips x $25,000 = $250,000
10 chips x $50,000 = $500,000

I like antes, so I'd just add that in:

Ante/Small/Big

0/1k/2K
0/2k/4k
1k/4k/8k
2k/8k/16k
4k/16k/25k (yes 25, makes chipping up easier, later)
8k/30k/50k
16k/50k/100k
(break, chip out 1,000 chips & 5,000 chips)
30k/100k/200k
50k/200k/400k
(could chip out 10k & 25K & 50K if you want/depending on # chips you have)
100k/400k/800k
200k/800k/1,600,000

For a 3 hour game I think you'll need to run your blinds at 15 min or so. At the rate above at 2.5 hours you're big blind is still lesss than the starting stack and from my experience anyway, you'll probably want to cut the blinds off at 100/400/800k just so they can play some poker rather than just luck -- then again if you want to be done in 3 hours you have to move the blinds up! If you can run 30 min blinds that's awesome and much more relaxed -- it might work depending on how people bet but if they are conservative you may not finish within your timeframe.

Also, just a suggestion, but use $20 as you prize pool and use the $5 as a bounty for each player -- I think that adds a lot of fun to it. If you need anything explained in more detail, don't hesitate to ask. U-dub.

What time do we start? Oh darn, Rebecca's working Saturday and I'm probably going to watch her kids...oh, and I've got mine too...oh, and you're in Atlanta. DARN! DARN! DARN!

I've liked the thought of doing a "Mega T" tournament, but to do that I'd have to get another set that has all the big denominations...and I'm a clay-"freak"...so not sure what to do about that. Maybe, I'll finally come up with an inlay/label idea and label my Blue Chip TILT blanks with big denoms. Hmmm.....

Have fun!

Re: Bellagio Blind Schedule

I'm planning (when my chips arrive) to also have a T1,000,000 tourney.

It's kind of hard without knowing your denomination breakdowns, But I've just got 5k, 25k and 100k chips so all I'm going to do is add some zeroes onto my T1,000 blinds schedule. If you have 1k chips then you could add a couple of levels in at the start.

Good luck, I'm jealous!

hod

Re: Bellagio Blind Schedule

We play a $20 buy in and a T-1,200,000. 5K,10K & 50K chips, with 60-5K, 40-10K and 10-50K , 110 chips to each player. The blinds start at 5K/10K and double every 20 minutes. The games last about 1and half hours, All the folks that play here always like a lot of chips to play with, as well as I do. We all know each other. so its a friends get together game.

We play for enjoyment more than money. Hope this helps..

9 $100,000 $200,000

17 $2,000,000 $4,000,000
18 $3,000,000 $6,000,000
With this schedule would you color up the T1K's after the 2nd or 3rd level? The majority of the chips that I ordered are T1K's. Here is what I think chip breakdown is going to be. Maybe this will help. Tomb I like the blind schedule it just feels like the T1K's wont be on the table very long?

Here goes...
Starting Stacks T1,000,000
T1K X 25
T5K X 10
T10K X 10
T25K X 9
T100K X 6
=T1,000,000

Now here is the total breakdown that I have currently...
T1K X 275
T5K X 150
T10K X 150
T25K X 100
T100K X 75

Does this help?
