Does anyone run or play tournament style poker using just $1000 denominated chips. Blinds being 1000/2000 of course.

I was debateing if I should by more $1000 DS chips for that great price of $25 per 100.

I would add a $5K too...1s and 5s will be just fine...having only $1s is possible but the sale price may not be that great if you need a rack or two of chips per player...IMHO...

Yeah I think you gotta at least have 2 denoms. I mean think about the stacks when you get up to the 5/10 or higher levels. Gets a bit tough to manage.

That fantastic poker show on fox run by Mansionpoker.net only has $1000 chips. Six players, $50k each, 300 chips split 2 ways by heads up.

Not really useful in a larger tourney though. And not a good poker show on TV.

I'd have at least 2 denominations - like mentioned - the 1 and 5k chips. Also gives you a little varience in color on that table of yours!
