Re: Tourney Structure Help Please

If you want to run 20 man T10,000 tourney I would suggest getting 1000 chips (could get by with 880) in this breakdown

320 x 25
400 x 100
160 x 500
120 x 1000

This make a 20 man T10,000 tourney work and up to 40 man T5000 work

20 man T10,000

16 x 25
16 x 100 - 80 extra to color up 25's
8 x 500
4 x 1000 - 40 extra for rebuys (which I never really offer or to color up 100's if needed)

40 Man T5,000 just cut everything in half (PERFECT AND EASY)

Re: Tourney Structure Help Please

When I was ordering my Belleagios i figured the minimum I would need to a 20 person T10,000 is 700 chips.
$25-160-8 per player
$100-200-8 + 40 for color up
$500-160-6 +40 for color up
$1000-140-7
$5000-40 for color up or rebuys

Now that is the minimum chips I would use but if you want bigger stacks you can add from there

You are starting off with 7 1000's for each player. thats alot of a high denom chip. I think you may have people trying to make change very early in the tourney but I could be wrong. Good luck

Re: Tourney Structure Help Please

Yea, I made a mistake there. That should be 6 $1000 each. With 7 it would be $11,000 total. The starting stack is the same as the WSOP ME except for an extra $1000 replacing 2 $500's. I am goning to use a very similar blind stucture so I would think it would work out fine. For my taste, your starting stack has to many of the small denoms in play. IMO, it slows the game down and is just a pain to color up that many chips. In my game if you want to play with a big stack, you have to earn it. Just my opinion and what I like at my home game.
