Last night we tried something different - there was only 3 of us playing so we actually played 3 tourneys. Each of us won one so two of us were up a whole $5 and one guy was down $10. However, the poker was really fun.

1st - was a $5 NLHE tourney - same as we always do.

For the 2nd and 3rd games - call it HOPS
Holdem, Omaha Hi, Pineapple, 7 Stud.

T200 in chips - 15 minutes per round
NL Holdem 1-2
NL Omaha 2-4
NL Crazy Pineapple 3-6
NL 7 Stud 2 ante, low bring in for 2, complete bet for 4
NL Holdem 5-10
NL Omaha 10-20
NL Crazy Pineapple 15-30
NL 7 Stud 10 ante, low bring in for 10, complete bet for 20

This was different and actually fun. The first time we tried it we went to the 10-20 Omaha Round, next time it ended durring 5-10 Holdem.

We'll probably up the starting stacks to 400.

That is not a bad idea... We have had a couple nights where 3 or 4 people are all that we can get together. This seems like a pretty good idear!

We'll be playing our 5th HOPS tourney of the year next week. Definitely a change from the NLHE, and very popular with my guys.

We play limit on all games, T3000.

I have to say I really enjoy the HOPS nights.

We've played HOPS a couple of times, exactly like yours with just Omaha hi and Stud hi. I love it, definitely a nice switchup from same old NLHE. I'm trying to get enough momentum built up to change our cash game over to HOPS as well.
