Well, i always loved those chips, now the dream comes true

I just bought this set:

150 green $25
80 black $100
50 purple $500
20 orange $1000

What are your suggestions for starting stacks (8-9-10 players, no rebuys/addon), because there a lot of the lower denomination, and i read that you should use less of the lower ones.

I don't know how to calculate the color ups...

You need more blacks. For 10 people you need 20 more black chips for colour-ups. Also you need 10 more purples if you want to colour up the black chips.

If you colour up the green chips with purples and the black chips with yellows, you can do this:

12 x $25
7 x $100
4 x $500
1 x $1000

which works for 10 people.

The set is no doubt designed for 8 since you can do:

16 x $25
6 x $100 (and 4 for colouring up the greens)
4 x $500 (and 2 to colour up the blacks)
2 x $1000

Old thread, but thanks a lot, i tested the starting chips lot of times, it is great...

You were right, i need more black chips, but it is working great for 8 players without colorup.

I got these and have been using that blind structure as well. Since I never have more than 8 it works great!
Love the tikis, too.
