Can anybody tell me the amount of starting chips a player starts with in an event thats not the $10,000 buy-in? For example, a $1000 buy-in No Limit Hold'em event. Is it still 10,000 in chips?

If it's $1000, they get $1000 in chips... It's almost always the amount they buy in for.
