Anybody have any thoughts on a blind structure for a 6 Handed Tournament, meaning all tables will start with 6 players and will be balanced until there are only players remaining for the final table.
I was thinking of starting everybody off with T1500 stacks, T25 being the lowest denom?
Any suggestions?
(I had posted something similar to this in the Poker Strategy thread, but this portion of that post does not belong there. It belongs here. Thanks for not locking me down admins!)
I have done considerable research on shorthanded play as of late and have come to the conclusion, as many others may have as well, that shorthanded play is no different than full ring play when several players have folded. Therefore I do not really need a "special" tournament structure designed specifically for a shorthanded game. But I do like your suggested structure and may try this the next time I host a game!!
Captn, the only thing I can figure, because I have never played ina specifically shorthanded tournament, is that because of the 6/table, you would either a) have smaller starting stack:blind ratios b) play shorter blind levels. The game should move considerably faster than a 9 or 10 man table, and I would think people would be more inclined to play hands, but I don't know that.
