Not really...as you can see everyone uses something a little different...with respect to starting stacks, and blind levels...homepokertourney.com is a good resource but I think many will agree that one can be fairly flexible...for me...I kept ajusting my stacks and blind schedules for the first 10 tourneys I hosted and found something that worked with my group...

No there isn't. But you need to balance the stack with your time limits. To big of a stack with passive blinds and you get the WSOP (7 days of 14hour play). To small of a stack with agressive blinds and you get a crap shoot (1 hour turbo tournies- T500 start with 25-50 blinds, double every 5 min)

Note: The set supports a total of 42 buy ins/rebuys in black, purple, & yellow chips for T5000, so a single rebuy per person would only be a problem if I had 3 full tables and more than 18 wanted to rebuy. I'll stick to the T2500 (or T3000) format for now, but it might be nice to run a T5000 every now and then for variety and it's good to know my current set will support it.

I start the blinds at 1 cent and 2 cents to start so that everyone is comfortable.
After an hour or so the blinds are raised to 25 cents and 50 cents. After that I remove the 1 cent chips. I know thats not standard in a cash game, but it works because many of the people who come to my cash game haven't played much hold em. If the cash game goes to long I start raising the blinds tourney style.

It is basically a turbo game, but other than my brother and I no one that we play with has any interest in learning how to play so having a blind structure to promote skillful play is of no interest to the majority. They love action and the high pervalence of luck as in any given game, anyone can win.

I've adjusted/tweaked my chip handout (and blind schedule) for the upteenth time.
I added more $25, $100, and $500 chips so that I could hand out the exact same number of chips for up to 20 players. I'll never have 20 but I like to dream and be prepared just in case. I have 725 solid color ASMs and I just added 375 hot stamped super diamonds that will only see play if I have 13 or more players (so basically they're not likely to see play very much). Sidebar: 375 hotstamped superdiamonds from discountcasinogear was $12 cheaper (including shipping) than the same order would be at 5star ($49 vs. $61).

For two table tourneys, my blind intervals would remain at 20 minutes for rounds 7 - 9. 20 player game expected length would be apprx 3:17 - 3:32.

Unless it's going to noticeably slow play, I no longer remove the 100s as I found that coloring up the 100s leaves too few chips in play and takes away from having that big stack feel at the table.

If I want to do 10k starting stacks I just add 5 1k chips to the T5000 handout or I can use the non denom chip as a 5k chip

This set is pretty versatile and works really well with my deep pocket, rebuy-luvin' friends...
Ive incorporated a 5th denom into my Samurai set, the $5000 chip. Ill now have 80-$1000 and 20-$5000's.
Shouldnt change things much, I just really liked that $5k chip, and now I can color up some of my 1k chips when it gets down to heads up play.
