So like me, you don't adhere to that rule. JMDA, we a rebels with a cause |

I know it will take lots of explaining but I think it is the right thing to do. What'll be harder is explaining how a spread limit game works these guys only know "ALL IN"!!!!!!
I know that is my name and all, but that is actually a bit of a jedi mind trick!! |

The last time I was at the casino (Caesars Indiana) - couple fridays ago. A player tossed his hand down and stated his hand qs and js (or something like that) one of the cards flipped over and hit the muck. His hand is now dead and though it would have been a winner the next best hand won the pot. We adhere to the same rules in our home games. Robert's Rules actually states that at the casinos/directors discretion if the hand can be easily retrieved from the muck that it can be live. Most casinos will say the hand is dead. |

To stray slightly off topic, I played once at someone else's place (outside my circle of players) who raced off chips, but allowed a player to win more than one chip. That really irked me. I don't like rounding up, but it's certainly better than giving two chips to the same person. |

sure, when i have 4 chips, and someone else only has 1, they might get lucky and win the extra trip, but who cares? the extra chip doesn't matter that much, it's part of the game, and it's just as random as having your KK run down by some joker's 44.
race 'em off, i say!

Just my 2 cents worth. |

"5. Any player who has been dealt in may request to see any hand that is eligible to participate in the showdown, even if the opponent's hand or the winning hand has been mucked. However, this is a privilege that may be revoked if abused. If a player other than the pot winner asks to see a hand that has been folded, that hand is dead. If the winning player asks to see a losing player’s hand, both hands are live, and the best hand wins. "
As I said, you are I both rebels (outlaws even) my friend. |
