Ok, you asked for it...
Chips per player:
20 x $25
15 x $100
2 x $500
2 x $1000
1 x $5000
------------
40 chips totaling 10K.

When I want fewer chips in play I go with this:
16 x $25
16 x $100
2 x $500
2 x $1000
1 x $5000...37 chips per player

or this:
12 x $25
12 x $100
3 x $500
2 x $1000
1 x $5000...30 chips per player

Blinds:
Level Minutes Small Big
1 20 $50 $100
2 20 100 200
3 20 200 400
Break 5 min. Remove 25s
4 20 400 800
5 20 800 1,600
6 20 1,200 2,400
Break 5 min. Remove 100s
7 15 2,000 4,000
8 15 3,000 6,000
9 15 4,000 8,000
Break 5 min. Remove 500s
10 15 5,000 10,000
11 15 8,000 16,000 (when more than 20 players, blinds increase over starting chips)
12 15 10,000 20,000
13 15 12,000 24,000

yea bill, im feelin ya.....

and ky70, how many total chips do you have? and how many can you accomodate?

i wanna be able to accomodate at least 10 people with rebuys?
or 20 people no rebuys....

i'm really looking at boondockers set up right now....
which means i'd be ridding myself of about 400 $5.- chips...
HOLY JEEZ, that would be a lot to try and sell, wtf?

also, what are you guys storing your chips in?

right now, im storing them in a 5star deal cherry wood w/ glass top case...but that's for 500 chips only, plus the ones i put underneath...

i'm thinking of getting that lowes case everyone got, but need to ensure i can fit them all in there? ya heard?

get at me,
d

We play mostly T10000 games now, with a max of 8 people (it's a little crowded at our table then, playing with more wouldn't be all that great) - but usually just 4-6.

Starting chips:
T25 x 12
T100 x 17
T500 x 10
T1000 x 3

Blinds go up every 10 minutes, and the games usually last about 2-2.5 hours. Most of the time ending around level 11-12. Once we got up to 3 hours, with half of that being a heads up battle which I won

From memory...
1: 25/50
2: 50/100
3: 75/150
4: 100/200
5: 150/300
6: 200/400
7: 250/500 (I might cut this one out and colour up earlier)
--- colour up T25 chips ---
8: 300/600
9: 400/800
10: 500/1000
11: 700/1400
--- colour up T100 chips ---
12: 1000/2000
13: 1500/3000
14: 2000/4000
15: 2500/5000
--- colour up T500 chips ---
16: 3000/6000
17: 4000/8000
etc

I should also look at a cap on the blinds, based on the number of players. Wouldn't want things to get too high relative to the number of chips in play. Maybe also have a little longer blind levels near the beginning. Lots of tweaks to try.

I have a set of 400 chips, but don't really have enough for normal full colour ups. I could, but I was figuring on a range from T5000-T25000, and I wanted some T5000 chips (which occasionally get into play). I guess for this setup, you could go with T25x100, T100x160, T500x115, T1000x25.

But since you want to support 10-20 people, I doubt this would work for you. It's more of a special case for up to 8 people for me

I use a 675 chip set (210 $25, 245 $100, 65 $500, 55 $1000 & 100 non denom) and a 500 (200 $25, 225 $100, 50 $500 & 25 $1000) chip set.

I would only use the 500 chip set for T5000 tourneys as I don't have any $5000 plaques to match the Pharaoh's set. I use the 675 chip set for T10,000 tourneys and I can accomodate the following number of players in freezeout tourneys:

up to 10 players with this structure:
20 x $25
15 x $100
2 x $500
2 x $1000
1 x $5000....40 chips per player

up to 13 players with this structure:
16 x $25
16 x $100
2 x $500
2 x $1000
1 x $5000...37 chips per player

up to 17 players with this structure:
12 x $25
12 x $100
3 x $500
2 x $1000
1 x $5000...30 chips per player

up to 20 players with this structure:
8 x $25
8 x $100
2 x $500
2 x $1000
3 x $2000...23 chips per player

But if I were I doing more than 10 players I would do a T5000 tourney (with the 675 chip set) where I can accomodate up to 26 players.
