Daniel, if you have so many $5 chips, why do you need to have a T5,000 tourney? What's wrong with starting blinds at 5/10, and doing a T1000 or T2000 tourney? It doesn't make a lick of difference what your starting stack is, as long as the starting blinds are proportional to it. T1,000 with 5/10 blinds is the same as Boondocker's T5,000 with 25/50 blinds (and the math's a bit easier, too). Or am I missing something here?

also, what are you guys storing your chips in?

right now, im storing them in a 5star deal cherry wood w/ glass top case...but that's for 500 chips only, plus the ones i put underneath...

i'm thinking of getting that lowes case everyone got, but need to ensure i can fit them all in there? ya heard?

The Lowe's Task Force case can hold 1,500 chips using those 4-row chip boxes, plus two card set-ups as well.

In all seriousness though, I still get more 'oohs' and aaahs' when I come rollin' up with this thing. The racks also make for quick setup and also is a sweet way to make sure that I got them all back. Gap in the rack? Missing one. Racks all tight? On my way home.

I use those birdcages too... I've come to dislike chip cases because of the whole counting issue.

Tourneys run shy of 2:30...increase intervals to 30 minutes for a 3:30-4hr game

basically, i do use the $5's right now at a T600 tourny but the thing is i have so many 500, 1000 chips (and the 5000 plaques) that i'd like to use...

so i was contemplating ridding myself of the $5's and upping the game status to fit the 500 and 1000 chips....

My no rebuy games start with T$5000 chips because the players like to have a mountain of chips that add up to a significant dollar amount. It's all in keeping people happy and feeling more important than you really are
