I have these interesting web mold chips and am trying to determine who made them:

The black looks like many of the Paulson fantasy chips and the white seems to match the Paulson 98 JB Casino de Isthmus .50 chip. I don't have either of those to compare, but I have a BCC JB .50 and the green spot in particular is very different

The web mold is surprisingly heavy, maybe due to the lack of a recess. 20 of these are 212g on my scale compared to 196g for a stack of decent Starbursts and 184g for near mint PNYs. They are slightly smaller in diameter than a Paulson and slightly larger than a TRK. They appear to have the same thickness as a mint Paulson when stacked 20 high.

From what I can tell Burt Co made chips on the web mold until about 95, then Paulson, and then at some point BCC. Thoughts?

My guess is Paulson. As you point out, the white chips follow the "JB '98" CDI pattern, and the black matches many Paulson fantasy home game chips. The green chip also matches some Paulson starburst chips that I have seen. The red is new to me though. Neat chips!

I like Paulson for this, too. The white is very, very white. Sweet chips. :)

Thanks for the input guys. I think the green is close to the Argosy $25 but slightly different. Post pics here of the matching green starburst if you can find it. I feel like I've seen the red before but can't place it.

Everyone that responded so far gets a Z on me. PM me your address + the color you want and I'll get it in the mail.

I would definitely say Paulson. There was a member on here who has a large set of Paulson web molds, and if I remember correctly they were blanks. Only time I've seen a Paulson blank.

Awesome! Thanks so much. PM on its way.

I still have my set of Paulson web mold blanks. 800, IIRC. I haven't decided what to do with them.

Since I've got these chips out, here are some fake Paulson blanks. These are injection molded plastic and weirdly light and chalky. The injection mark is visible inside one of the hats.

They are Paulson home chip colors for white, green and black. Take a look at the "good luck club" for the green and "gamblers paradise" for black and the white chip were done in many of the home sets. Forgive my scanner, they are definitely the colors.

i think it's unfortunate that we cannot get chips on the web mold. it's a wonderfully understated mold. i know the riverboats are available but i would love some paulson web molds.

Even if Michael Patton does have the cups, it wouldn't do us much good. IIRC, they don't work with CPC's equipment, BCC is gone with the wind, and Paulson isn't making chips for the home market. Sigh!

Jeff beat me to the punch with his reply that those green chips (as well as white and black) have been released before as part of Paulson's non-casino lineup. The red chip spots appear to match up with the Crown Casino New Orleans:

If my memory serves me right, I think Johnny asked web mold for rent, when we designed GCOP's back n 2011. We also asked C&S from Stephan. Both queries got "no" for an answer.

Anyone have a stack of Riverboats they can weigh to see if they are similar to these Paulsons? I'm curious if the BCC web mold has a similar weight/feel.
