And at the 8:30 pm EDT mark, it's Rush in the lead by a nose in a tight race, 8 to 7 to 6!

I voted for QuiQog because I prefer aligned edgespots, even with the ceramics.

I think this design calls for that.

Oh, that's great. The Ski campaign has lost the "Mr." demographic that helped propel us to a win in the primaries. I guess the NACES party (Non-Aligned Ceramic Edge Spots) will have to look elsewhere for voter support!

Kidding aside, this is crazy... Rod was ahead by 1 vote a little while ago, and now it's a three way tie again, 9 to 9 to 9. I love a close race!

Spot alignment on chips that do not have edge rollover is not necessary. The winning face design has an outer circle that breaks up the spot colors from rolling over, so alignment would actually look rather silly versus desirable in this case (almost like a crappy split-spot problem).

Probably best to go with an edge design that also prevents the edge colors from being visible when viewed from the face.

    My 2c.

    Thanks, I really appreciate that.

This was a VERY close race, and a lot of fun for me. Each of the three of us led the voting at various times. At least twice, the race was a three way tie! (I remember we were tied at 6 votes each, and again at 9 votes each.) While we did get what most people consider a statistically significant number of votes (30 or above), we barely made it. Also, I really do think that we had three good entries for the rolling edge. Rod had a great entry for the face wrap, too!

For these reasons, and in the spirit of good sportsmanship (gamesmanship?!), I'd like the split the Phase 2 300 chip prize three ways with QuiQuog and Rush4Rod if that's OK with the folks at GOCC.

I hope Phase 3 proves to be as close and as much fun as the first two phases!

    Thanks!

That's a nice gesture Ski. If you did that I would use my share to send out sample sets to the contest participants and others.
