    Hey all,

My wife is going to Vegas next week for work, so I've arranged to tag along for a few days! I was planning on playing in the Venetian daily tourney either Monday or Tuesday (12:00pm start, $150 buy in, 12k starting stack, 30 min rounds) however, their daily tournaments are suspended during their deepstack extravaganza. So I would love some suggestions to other tourneys, with a similar type of structure, earlier in the day the better as there will be a few work dinners that I will be attending. I'm not sure if anyone has any experience with the few I've found and listed below, or have others to suggest.

    - Aria 1:00pm, $125 buy-in, 10k starting stack, 30 min rounds
    - Wynn 12:00pm, $140 buy-in, 10k starting stack (500 bonus for registering prior to 11:00 and 500 bonus for being seated by 12) , 30 min rounds
    - Planet Hollywood 10:00am or 1:00pm, $80 buy-in, 10k starting stack, 20 min rounds
    - And since I'm staying at MGM, 11:05am, $70 buy-in, 15k starting stack, levels 1-9 15 min, levels 10 and beyond 20 min

I will also be playing some cash games as well. Thanks for any input and suggestions :)

I've played in the Aria tourney a few times and I really liked it. (Cashing twice helped, though). It's a nice structure, but be careful early on because it is a re-buy tourney. Many people in Vegas have more money than brains. Good luck!

I'm at the Rio this week and Planet Hollywood next week. I have no idea on any advice to tell you because I dont have a clue myself. I'm also here for the UFC fan expo and NBA Summer League. I'll probably give the PH torunament a shot while I'm there... I am mostly railing events here at the WSOP with some cash games thrown in. But, good luck wherever you end up and if you go to PH, shoot me a message!

Download the Poker Atlas app. It has all the info you need.

Thanks! I'm leaning towards checking out the Aria tourney, at least on Monday. Not sure if I'm going to play a tourney on Tuesday as well, or just cash. We'll see how it goes. I think I'm sneaking in a few rounds of golf early in the mornings as well :) Look forward to playing with you in the WSOP P-Stars league again in a few weeks!

2 weeks in Vegas...wow! Sounds like fun. I will let you know if I make my way over to PH at all, if so I'm always open to meeting up or playing cards with a fellow chiptalker.

Thanks. Didn't realize they had an app, but found the poker atlas and cardplayer websites to help narrow the search a little.

That looks like a great tourney, I just wish it was a little earlier. If the early tourney starts at 3pm, and it's a good size field, I doubt it will be over before already planned dinners. I appreciate the info though!

If you plan on playing golf it better be real early. By 10:00 or so it gets pretty damn hot. But, as they say, it's a dry heat!

I don't mind a little heat, especially if it's not with all the humidity we get, lol. I don't get out to golf much with all the little ones, and since we were busy on father's day my wife surprised me by telling me to bring my clubs, I think she wants me to practice for her upcoming work golf tournament :) Since we are staying at the MGM, they have a deal with the royal links golf club, which I am playing Sunday late afternoon/early evening, and am considering playing the other walters golf club, Bali Hai Monday morning, especially if the Aria tourney doesn't start till 1, so should have plenty of time.

ORLY? Any of the daily deepstacks you are looking at won't even be in the money by dinner time.

Thanks for the advice! I just spoke with Aria and they said their tourney usually ends around the 8hr mark. I'll have to take that into consideration, that said, if I decide to play and I'm still playing at say 8pm, I don't think my wife would be too upset if I make a little money :)

Thanks to everyone that gave me advice! I just got back and had a lot of fun! Based upon time constraints, I ended up playing the MGM daily tourney one day and the Planet Hollywood daily tourney the other. I did great, cashing in both :) I took 5th in the MGM tourney (top 6 got paid) and we ended up chopping the Planet Hollywood tourney once we reached the money, top 4. The four of us all had similar stacks and the blinds were really high, so instead of playing a crapshoot and one of us barely getting our buy in back, we split the money four ways evenly. I also won a little playing cash games and did manage to get out golfing once and played pretty well, so all in all it was a fun trip! Can't wait to go again!

Congrats! It's always a good time in Vegas, even better when you make a little money.
