I'm not quite clear on how the site works for funding.

Do pledgers receive any type of equity on the project or a return of capital of any type, or are they essentially pre-ordering xx setups based on the amount of money they pledge?

I believe you are pretty much pre-ordering, or pledging to help out.

Jason, good luck with this project. I pledged, and hope you get the funds needed.

You aren't buying stock, and you don't get any equity nor should you expect any financial return. You're making a contribution to a project you care about, not an investment.

That said, Kickstarter projects generally always offer rewards for various levels of support. For example, if you give $50 to the Desjgn project, you will get 8 decks of Classic Victorians or Classic Damasks, one of each color.

Also of note: When you pledge, you will be asked to pay via Amazon Wallet. However, the money is not actually taken from your account until the project reaches its goal. If the goal isn't reached, you pay nothing.

    Jason:

Is there any way to add more support levels at this point? I'm in for $50 now and was willing to pledge more, but the next level up ($400) was too much.

I think $100 and $200 levels would be beneficial if you can add them; it's always best to give plenty of choices so folks can contribute up to their maximum desired amount. Maybe 16 decks (8 CV and 8 CD) would be a good reward for $100.

EDIT: Never mind. I read in the comments on your KS page that this has already been asked and isn't possible per Kickstarter rules.

Will the pips on the numeric cards be in the standard playing card pattern or desjgn pattern?

Just noticed there wasn't a follow-up to this...

The first Kickstarter project didn't succeed, but there is another one to get more colours for the Classic Victorian line. If (like me) you'd like to see additional back colours, have a look and pledge.

Note: I'm not affiliated with Desjgn. I would just love to see this particular project succeed.

The current Kickstarter for Classic Victorians is running through June 12th.

Jason needs a big push for the last 10 days. If you haven't signed on as a backer, get in there NOW! :)

Are these for sale yet or do you need to hit the target goal to be able to sell these to anyone?

The idea is if they raise the funds to move forward via Kickstarter, then the folks that pledged get their items, and it's made available to others via their normal retail site. If the funds are not raised, no one pays anything and nothing is produced.

So, it all hinges on getting enough pledges to move production forward.

    Really?

If your at the main site, type "desjgn" in search window... click that, from there it should be painfully obvious.

I'm in too! These cards are my gang's favorites - and mine. More back colors of the classic victorians would really rock!
