[So, what's up with this "poker den" label?]
[Edit: I forgot to properly attribute the news story to pokerlistings.com - and to laugh at Tennessean.com for their sensationalistic reporting]

A man with a couple of gunshot wounds in the abdomen was found outside a Cocke County, Tennessee, home believed to be fronting an illegal poker operation, it has been revealed. According to Tennessean.com, the poker den contained a slew of poker playing paraphernalia, including a poker table, video poker machines, and other gambling items.

The online publication says Sheriff Billy Wayne Moore confirmed that the victim, Robert Landon Holdway, was found in critical condition near the poker den on Wednesday morning.

Authorities said that the residence was stocked with various gambling devices, and believe the setup had a lot of patrons.

No suspects have been found in relation to the shooting, and no reason has been given as to why Holdway was shot.

why would they raid the poker den?

if he was shot outside, they have no reason to go inside unless the evidence suggests so.

You should nearly always draw to double gutshots but rarely to single ones.

Bags packed, tickets to hell in mail.
