I've needed to get pics to add to this thread for a while now.

    First, the error spots:

I keep them in play to see if anyone notices them in their stacks. To tell the truth, even I didn't notice the error spots on the 500s until a few weeks back when I actively looked for them (they are that subtle in stacks).

Next, the ones I've nicknamed "under pressure":

If you don't believe our beloved chips go though a rough time when being made, these should give an idea. My favorite is probably the 1000 as the inlay has the greatest migration from home and even the spots have suffered.

These don't get put into play but are set aside as examples I can use to show new players when they don't understand why the chips aren't all identical to one another like the dice chips they have used elsewhere....

That 1000 looks just like it has bubble effect applied to it in Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro. Kinda cool.

Funny, all this time and all the chips I sold I never noticed any. I only have 10 used ones left that I use for traders. I go to grab one out this morning and this is the first one I grabbed. This brings the total known to four.

Stumbled across this beauty while cleaning a batch... I was told it was an unlisted error chip.

I have a Mapes error chip too. Only 2 stripes instead of the usual 4.

A few others also. The top chip shows the normal spot pattern

Seems like that one was intentional...just a little too perfect to be accidental IMO.

There was some question on the chipboard as to whether or not this was intentionally made or faked by glueing one inlay over another. I then posted this high res pic and all concluded its real. All the cross hatching matches up. ( Factory Error) Now, could someone at the factory have intentionally made this.... We may never know. Reminds me of the 1913 Liberty Nickel mystery :)

I just found this chip which looked like an error at first but on closer inspection I think it's was made correctly and the yellow just bleed over.
