The I wonder why The California chip changed from blue to white?

The NY NY chip is a digression IMO. It looks very 80's. Same edge spot color just different label???? Is this necessary???

I don't think so, and doesn't look anywhere near as good as the old one, in my opinion.

I agree the new $1 NYNY is a big step backwards for a casino which always had nice looking chips.

My understanding is that Paulson does not produce chips with the same colours and edge spot patterns for more than one casino. What I mean is, the colours and edge spots used by New York New York on their $1 chip will never be used on any other chip produced by Paulson except for NYNY. For this and other security reasons a casino's new rack or limited edition chips often use the same colours as prevous releases. This is also why Paulson has such ahuge range of insert patterns and colours.

Casinos are free to change colours and insert patterns between racks, and this does happen often as well.

The brand new $1 California chip is because the recently released blue one clashed with a higher denomination chip.

I dont know if this is a rule in LV, but it is definately a regulation in AC that no two casinos can have the same color/insert combination.
