I've been working with J5 for some time on some custom labels, and we are just about wrapping things up. I've been working with a basic set of .25 - $100, with the following color scheme/breakdown... (note, this is not the artwork I'm using - just generic denom placeholders!)

Problem is... I've just decided to add nickels. What should they be... green, orange, or brown?

I'm having a hard time deciding!

I like orange the best, but that brown might go best with the set.... Tough.

    No green though.

I also like orange the best, then brown. I've read that the orange is a beautiful, vibrant color, and I've never been fond of brown. Although the green chip is gorgeous, it just doesn't look right to me as the nickel.

That orange is the standout for the whole set, in my mind. I'd make it the quarter though, and use the lavender as the nickel.

I can't do orange quarters... I just love love love the lavender!!!!

But I think I will heed the advice and go with the orange nickels. Waiting to see J5s mockups! L

Will share the mockups when I have em!

I like brown for a nickel chip. Having an orange chip and a red chip with a 5 on the denom may lead to confusion as orange and red are too close in the color spectrum. Just my opinion.
Good Luck with whatever you choose.

Orange looks great, definately wouldn't go for green nickels though.
