Would anyone watch a live stream of a home game? No holecards with audio.
I would if it were a CT meetup and the sound/video quality was adequate.
There are people who stream live Dungeons and Dragons on Twitch.tv and get hundreds of viewers.
Give it a shot.
A shot from above the table is best way to do this. Sort of the same view as the wsop live streams.
We experimented with streaming our game last night. We had a couple of our regulars watch a little bit. We will experiment with twitch next tournament. Color commentary may happen at some point.
This would be so cool!!
Follow twitch.tv/Wsopleague we will be live tonight.
Cool. I'll try n tune in.
I'm going to a home game tonight...with no stream.
How did your live stream turn out?
We have worked on building camera stands for the overhead shot and a rig to have the shot of the board. Still working on commentary. That will happen before our season is over.
What are yas using for cameras? Wireless GoPro type cams or something wired? I'm curious about the best logistics for this.
The current setup is...
-Logitech c615(eBay $30)
-Logitech c270(eBay $10).
-I built the 7' stand out of PVC, $10
-25' usb extending cable $9
It's all a work in progress. We want a WSOP type commentary where everything is delayed 10 mins but our commentary is live as the stream is happening.
Cool. I was thinking of using cameras with local storage and not stream but edit it with commentary and maybe a pocket cam. Then up the finished product to youtube.
Meh, would take up hours of footage. Edited could trim some of the fat, but not enough. I like the live stream idea. Especially for a meetup event.
