I'm looking for a good example of house rules to model after. What are the house rules for your home game? Are your cash game house rules different than your tournament house rules?

We use Bob Ciaffone's Robert's Rules of Poker for for home/private games, with just a few modifications. RROP is available on ChipTalk on the Pages dropdown menu, and also at Ciaffone's webpage.

The major differences between our house rules and RROP are:
The "I want to see that hand" (IWTSTH) rule does not apply (Rule #5 under Showdown). No player in my game is entitled to see a folded hand. Let the player fold, and let's move on to the next hand.
We do not burn in 7-card stud. (I know, I know)
In pot-limit games, we count the small blind as if it were the full amount, and post-flop we round pots to the next dollar.
We allow a new/returning player to "buy the button" (come in between the big blind and the button).
We do not require butts in the seats in order to be dealt a hand.
