It's been said many times before and I'll say it again. Long time lurker. Registered a while back and just decided to introduce myself. I lurk many forums looking for info for the many things I'm into like watches, flashlights, firearms etc. (Yes, firearms. In WA state a guy or gal owning firearms is pretty normal and doesn't make you tough) I've used this site as a resource for a few years now so I decided to join. This is the only chip forum I've joined. Actually it's the only forum I've joined. I know that there's another chip forum but I just don't use it.
It all started with me trying to get a set of chips of my own. I'd bought a set of dice chips from Costco (ten years ago or so) that I quickly stopped giving a sh*t about once I started playing cash games with my buddie's hot stamped dice chips. Those chips seemed like such an upgrade. Playing cash games also killed my love of tourneys. I still very much enjoy tourneys but I don't "love". The more sets of chips I ran into, the more I wanted some nice chips of my own.
So I started searching for a best bang for your buck set. I figured 750 or so chips would be enough. (I got that down to 500 for our cash game these days) That led me to this site. I went from seriously contemplating China clays, to talking myself out of brand new crispy Paulsons from Apache because of price, to owning 1300 Casino Aztar Indiana secondaries and 200 pink non-denom Avalon Club chips. In the proses I also acquired a rack of samples. Various Paulsons, Milanos, Pharoes, custom ceramics, etc. Samples samples samples you said. All in one summer and it's all your fault.
This forum helped me find the place to order the chips, clean and care for them. I really love these chips. I haven't ran into any other players that play with used casino clay chips and they get a lot of inquiries. (My buddy just got some used casino ceramics which are also very nice) I love new Paulson home chips but I really love casino chips. So I've found my self on the lookout for another set. Im also contemplating trimming my Atars down to 600 since I'm only interested in having cash sets for now.
One more thing.... I really like some of the chips you guys have. Serious drool material. I wish I had gotten into this site 5 or 6 years before because I feel like I missed out on some nice casino chips.

    Chip sets I like....
    1.The Vineyard
    2.Oak Tree
    3.Crystal Park
    4.Garden City

Obviously I like many more chips, especially most of the ASM customs, but these are the casino chips I drool over. ASMs are out of my budget. Hope this wasn't too long.

Welcome. And if you love paulsons but can't afford asm, considering checking with gearlabels for relabeling paulsons and making them your own!

    Welcome!

Technically I'm about 35 minutes North of Seattle...at midnight. Any other time of the day I'm about an hour and a half North of Seattle with the traffic. lol

I live in Lake Stevens, I'll let you know next time I have a game and if you would like to come play the invite will be open!

And I know exactly what you mean about feeling like you got here late, I got into this a little over a year ago and I have thought the exact same thing. If I could have just been around a few years sooner....

I appreciate and am looking forward to the invite. The traffic thing is right on. My ex lives in Edmonds and some days it takes 2 hours to get into Seattle. Earlier this year I drove to Tacoma. It took 4 hours. What part of the SW you from?
