Hey, everyone, this is my first post here and I'm looking to see what everyone thinks of my first setup. I generally run an 8-10 man game with tournaments having 1 rebuy. I wanted to get 500 chips for tourney and 500 for a cash game. Let me know what you think.

    Tournament
    T25 100
    T100 125
    T500 100
    T1000 125
    T5000 50
    Total Tournament Chips 500

    Cash
    $0.25 200
    $1.00 250
    $5.00 50
    Total Cash Chips 500

    Hi, welcome

I would do less quarters in the cg. 12 per should be ok. Get some more 5s or even couple of 25s. With your breakdown you might be short overall bankroll for a .25/.50 game

Edit: 25s because i try avoid having same chips in play for tourney and cg

That works as well. Just bring all the 25c and 1s in play, then fill with 5s. With this breakdown you have 1k+ bank. You know your game best if thats plenty.
What chips are u looking to buy? A lot of people made the experience that they wanted to add on to their set at a later stage and couldnt find exact matching chips, unless you go some higher quality chips.

I'm looking at the Dunes China Clays from apachirpokerchips. Also forgot to mention I'm am looking at a starting buyin of $25 for my CG. With rebuys available. Do you think I would need more than the 500 chips. Running a .25/.50 game.

    I could also do

    100 x .25c
    200 x $1
    175 x $5
    25 x $20

    You could do
    .25 x 125
    1 x 175
    5 x 200
    20 x 25
    525 chips

you have your 25 buyin and 135 total rebuy per person

on the tourney do this , adding a 25k , so you can bump up the tourney from time to time

    25 x 100
    100 x 100
    500 x 100
    1000 x 100
    5000 x 100
    25000 x 25
    525 chips

If you have samples and like the look and feel, get them. Be aware of the fact, that if you consider buying more later, there could be risk that you get a different batch(color, height, diameter...) if you want to avoid, buy some extras
