"Elaine's Palace of Chance" is my most recent Townsend tribute set. As many of you know, My wife's Great Aunt Elaine Townsend owned interests in several casinos in Cuba during the 50's. I'm certain she owned a piece of the "Gran Casino Nacional", "Montmartre", and the "Jockey Club". My goal was to create chips that could have easily been used in a casino with Elaine's namesake. I used an image of Elaine from a 1948 newspaper article titled "Gambling Ladies". The beauty in this set is in its simplicity. Special thanks to J5 who designed the flawless inlay…he truly is the best! CPC produced the chips on the MD 50 which is perfect for these edge spots and this time period. Thanks David for reviving the custom chip business! I will absolutely have a blast playing with these fine chips!
